Making Hand-Painted Ceramic Mugs
Plain ceramic mugs sit on my workbench, waiting for color. I dip a brush in sky-blue paint, painting tiny waves around the rim, then add a little seagull with a fine-tip brush. After glazing and firing, the mug shines, its design popping against the white clay. I pour hot tea into it, and the warmth seeps through the ceramic. This craft isn’t just making a mug—it’s turning an ordinary item into a daily reminder of the calm I feel by the sea.
